Who we are
Grounded is a web-based anxiety grounding toolkit available at app.grounded.lifestyle. When we say "we," "us," or "Grounded," we mean the individual or entity operating this product.
What we collect
We collect only the minimum information needed to deliver the product:
- Your name and email address, provided voluntarily at checkout
- Payment information — processed entirely by Gumroad and Stripe; we never see or store your card details
- Basic usage data collected automatically by your browser (see Cookies below)
How we use your information
We use your name and email to:
- Deliver access to Grounded after purchase
- Send occasional product updates or relevant communications, if you've opted in
- Respond to support or refund requests
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering and supporting the product.
Data stored in your browser
Grounded stores the following data locally in your browser using localStorage, and nowhere else:
- Your chosen toolkit preferences (up to 3 starred techniques)
- Your session history
- Banner dismissal state
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for app.grounded.lifestyle.
Cookies
Grounded does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The app uses a service worker for offline functionality, which caches app files locally on your device. This is not a cookie and does not track you.
Third-party services
We use the following third parties to operate Grounded:
- Gumroad — payment processing and product delivery. Their privacy policy applies to checkout.
- Stripe — payment processing via Gumroad. Your card data is handled by Stripe under their own PCI-compliant terms.
- Kit (ConvertKit) — email communications, if you've subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Data retention
We retain your email address for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide support. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us at hello@grounded.lifestyle.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@grounded.lifestyle and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Grounded is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Grounded after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
